Blue flower

If this lost city named after a pretty blue flower, not a chance! Built during the reign of Juba II of Mauritania in the middle of a green and flowery plain, Volubilis has enjoyed great prosperity through trade of its precious olive oil. The remains of the city in the eyes of the traveler reveal all the secrets of the ancient past of the Mediterranean. The city of Volubilis, these are homes that have been well preserved. Richly decorated with mosaics, frescoes and statues, the walls of these mansions are transformed into museums: a true archaeological treasure!




The house of Orpheus, one of the most sumptuous residences. It bears this name for its beautiful mosaic depicting the travels of the legendary poet's lyre.


Home to the Labors of Hercules has a beautiful decoration depicting the adventures of the mythical hero. The book is well preserved (10 of the 12 works are intact), you will recognize the hellhound Cerberus, the Hydra of Lerna, the Augean stables...

The house of Venus is undoubtedly the most beautiful site, floors and walls were covered with mosaics. The house is home to beautiful bronze statues.
